During the second half of May, we will take a team on mission out to Sri Lanka and possibly another nation in the surrounding region.
The goal is to fulfill the great commission and take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, supporting and encouraging the work of ministries that are already there. There will be opportunities to minister: through prayer, service, teaching and preaching, worship, and the prophetic. In Sri Lanka, Genesis Collective (our partner) sows into dozens of churches, a couple orphanages, and a recovery center— we will serve and minister at these. We will also pray and strategize at a farm location where they’re considering starting a similar residency program for church planters in the region.
We may add a second nation to the trip on the front end— somewhere in Southeast Asia (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam) to connect with churches, young adult programs, and anti-trafficking organizations. This would be 4-7 days before we head to Sri Lanka for a week or so.
The trip will end with the Genesis Collective gathering on May 26-29. This is a gathering of roughly 300 believers from all over the globe— we will worship, sit under teachings and trainings, and make new connections through fellowship. Check out more here!
The trip will last 10-14 days (from around May 15th till around May 30th). We anticipate it will cost somewhere around ~2-3K in total (depending on your flight/ food choices). Everything is support-raised/covered by the resident attending. This cost includes:
Round trip flights (you’ll sort this out directly, we’ll send some suggestions)
Genesis collective registration
Hotels
Transportation (bring money with)
Food (bring money with)
If you’re interested, contact us ASAP (email director/coordinators directly if you can)! Spots are limited. We are looking for cooperative, eager, and humble peeps to come with us and minister!
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” —JesusRomans 10:13–15 (NIV)
“For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” — Paul
