My time here has been so beautiful, in the nature of the island as you would expect, but also the house: not the building, but the people within it. So rich in love for each other and zeal for the lord. Best 3 months of my life!

This residency truly changed my life. Here I learned the importance of serving and laying your life down for your neighbor. Here I experienced peace and freedom. I learned so much! The Lord spoke to me about many things, and I brought home some great habits acquired from the residency. I met some of the best people who truly love and fear the Lord. This period of time the Lord used to set me up and equip me for what he had next for me. If you truly want to dive in with the Lord, community, personal growth/knowledge, and you have the time, I would say do it. It'll change your life.

Wow. Just, wow. 3 months of service that I will never forget. It has truly been an honor and blessing to be apart of what God is doing here on the beautiful island of Kauai alongside HLR and Makanalani. It has been very powerful in my walk with the Lord to be apart of this Residency in ways that I can never say “thank you” enough... I'm expecting God to use HLR and Makanalani to do even greater things for the Bride of Christ than He has done in these past years. Excited to be apart of this and to keep up with what’s going on… the Island needs Jesus, we all do!

The Lord broke into the hard places in my heart that I did not even know I had harden toward him. The places I had given up on being seen, because I felt undeserving and unworthy, were broken through. He spoke through amazing community and leaders and formed me with more confidence in my everyday walk with him.

I could not recommend this residency enough. Every single person here strives to grow stronger in their relationship with God as we heard from experts from all over the world talk about the Bible. Through this, we got to witness God’s beauty in the most beautiful place on earth.

Hawai’i Leadership Residency unlocked a love and passion for worship through music that I would have not discovered before. I am expectant of how God will use me in different leadership opportunities. The Lord is GOOD.

Having the opportunity to learn from teachers was such a privilege. They were effective at communicating their knowledge of scripture and encouraging residents to apply biblical principles to our daily lives. Their passion and approachability cultivated a space for questions, learning and growth among residents.

This residency is an amazing opportunity to slow down your life and dedicate these three months to the Lord. There is something so special about living in a community and diving into scripture with each other every day.

The residency is great! The programming, housing, and all the staff are amazing! This is a great place to learn and grow your walk with the Lord alongside likeminded individuals within a tight knit community!

The Lord has been my provider. Provided me funds to make it out to Kauai and be apart of HLR, provided me with Godly relationships, and has provided me with more faith to take on whatever trials lie ahead.

I was really grateful for the opportunity to come be a part of this program. To be on this beautiful island, live in community, to learn, and to serve. I really appreciated the small groups, the worship nights, and the teachings. I also got to learn cool skills such as make bread and butters. I think this program is fantastic, and I would recommend this to anyone who loves Jesus and wants to grow.

Immersing myself in an environment rooted in servanthood & spiritual growth provided daily opportunities for thought-provoking discussions and meaningful relationships.

Overall the experience was life changing. It was a great opportunity to take a break from the constant busyness of today's world. Being here helped me cultivate space to hear God more clearly.

It was a great experience to learn to step of my comfort zone and be vulnerable. The Holy Spirit can work in many ways— radically, as well as in a subtle whisper of peace.
